Performing Arts Show

Miss Jesson's primary school students showed us a very special performance for the LFT's winter fair. 

"The show was a script I adapted to suit the various holidays the students at the LFT celebrate. I wanted to make sure our student body saw themselves represented in what they were performing and seeing the other students perform. I also wanted the students to be able to tell a story which incorporated the musical numbers they worked on. Other than that, my goal was to b, and how we all come together to celebrate in the spirit, warmth and light of the holiday season. Overall, the role of performing arts is to empower students to take risks and stretch their abilities beyond just the academic rigours of school life. Working on a collective project, presenting their hard work proudly to an audience, and enjoying the feeling of success after doing something challenging, is an experience rivalled by few other disciplines. The sense of community, supportive encouragement, and well-being that is fostered among people creating together, is food for the soul."
