The primary school welcomes about 260 international students from 2 ½ to 10 years old in 16 classes. The main mission of the primary school, which includes preschool & kindergarten (grouped together as Maternelle – TPS/PS, MS, GS) and elementary school (Grades 1-5 – CP, CE1, CE2, CM1, CM2) remains the structured acquisition of fundamental knowledge and elementary skills. Reading, writing, counting, and expressing oneself in 2 languages constitute the foundation for the primary students.
Our teachers implement the French curriculum. The French learning staff is supported by 5 English teachers who are native speakers. English language instruction constitutes one of the focuses of the school project. Our unique and innovative language program offers English classes starting in pre-kindergarten.
We incorporate the latest technology in all aspects of the curriculum with the goal of providing students a new way to find, analyze and present information while learning the role played by technology in a more and more globalized world. The use and understanding of new technology provides transversal learning whereby students learn a given subject at the same time as acquiring new skills in technology.
