Step 1 ▶︎ Discover LFT

Open House Events: Come visit us during our Open House Events held twice a year, in November and January. It's an excellent opportunity to discover our school, meet our teachers, and interact with our students. Guided by our students, you'll get a firsthand look at their daily lives and experiences. After all, who can speak about their school better than the students themselves?

Individual Visits: If you cannot attend the Open House Events, our admissions manager is available to schedule individual visits at any time of the year. Take advantage of this opportunity to ask questions about the admission process and learn more about our school.

Mid-Year Enrollment: We accept mid-year enrollments based on available spaces.
Priority for spaces in the PreK class will be given to students who are 2 years and 6 months old at the start of the school year (September).  Please contact the admissions office to check if a space is available.

Eligibility for non-French-speaking Students: We welcome non-French-speaking students in our Kindergarten program, including TPS/PS (PreK), MS (JK), and Grande Section (SK) classes.

Please note that starting from CP/Grade 1, proficiency in French is required for admission. For more information, please refer to step 3.

Step 3 ▶︎ Admissions Test

Once you have applied online, our Admissions Committee will review your child's application.

For children currently enrolled in a school accredited by the French Ministry of Education, decisions are typically communicated within 5 days.

If your child is attending a different school, they will be invited to participate in a meet and greet (for Kindergarten entry) or an admissions test (for Grades 1 to 12).

  • Admission to Kindergarten (Pre-K, JK, SK)

The meet and greet (30 minutes) is a play-and-learn interaction with one of our kindergarten teachers, conducted in the applicant’s preferred language (French or English).

*Candidates for the Pre-K class must be potty trained

  • Admission to Grades 1 - 12

Admissions tests for Grades 1-12 assess French language skills.

  • Grade 1: Candidates must understand and speak French; reading and writing skills are not required.
  • Grades 2-12: Both written and oral French skills will be assessed.
Step 4 ▶︎ Admissions Decision and Enrollment

Admissions decisions will be communicated via email within 10 days of the admissions test.
The registration process is complete when:

  • One of the parents has signed the contract online
  • The enrollment fee has been paid
Step 5 ▶︎ Preparing for the First Day at LFT

Your child is now enrolled at LFT. During the summer, detailed information will be sent to families regarding:
