An International Network

Created in 1990, the Agency for French Teaching Abroad (AEFE) is a national public association under the tutelage of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. It provides the public service missions related to education for French children residing outside France and contributes to the influence of the French language and culture, as well as reinforcing relations between French and other educational systems.

French schools abroad promote excellence, cooperation and the French language. They allow students to partake in an education with an international dimension, enriched by the high demands of the French curriculum and open to the host country.

They welcome French expatriate students as well as students from host countries and other countries. They make this cultural diversity flourish with innovative learning and open-mindedness, in particular by focusing on language learning.

They belong to a dynamic and engaging international network which develops particularly enriching collective educational projects. This association with a vast worldwide network permits children to complete a seamless education from kindergarten to Grade 12, from one school to another and from one country to another.
