International Section - Art & Literature

Following a study of graphic novel techniques and memoirs, 4ème students created their own graphic novel memoir chronicling a particular event in their life. With attention to the either the graphic style of Art Spiegelman or Marjane Satrapi, or innovating their own style, students paired image and text together to create meaning, to employ symbolism and other literary techniques, and to evoke emotion in their readers. To accompany their graphic novel, students included a 1.5-page analysis and evaluation of their work.

The students had fun expressing their ideas and creativity, and enjoyed getting to work a bit of their own personality into their projects. They all did an excellent job and LFT salutes them!
