Concours Pythagore
Problem solving is at the heart of students' mathematical activity throughout their education.
Teaching mathematics through problem solving involves students making connections between concepts to answer the question "Why?". This approach encourages creativity, the use of various strategies and the acquisition of a scientific culture.
To this end, each year our students participate in several mathematics contests. This year, the CM2 and 6ème students are participating in the "Concours Pythagore". The challenge is to solve 10 problems as a team and to give a collective answer.
Beyond the application of their mathematical knowledge, this collaborative activity is very much appreciated by the students and encourages cooperation and solidarity in a structured framework.
