Bilingual education from kindergarten onwards
In November, the Pre-K students worked on the book 'Va-t-en Grand Monstre vert' by Ed Emberley. In this bilingual project, in collaboration with the English teacher Mrs. Sara Kelly, the students learned in French and in English the vocabulary of the different parts of the face and the body, as well as that of the colors.
This learning was done through sports games, songs and many activities related to this theme (modeling clay, drawing, puzzles, dice games...). The children created their own 2D and 3D monsters in art classes and recorded their own audio book in which they tell a story using the structure of the album studied.
The objective in kindergarten class is to inspire the children, to raise their desire to learn while allowing them to assert and develop their personality. By co-teaching in French and English and creating bridges between the different subjects, our students develop their skills and confidence in all areas of learning.
