Citizenship and media engagement

Global education

Helping students understand their world, and their role in it.

We cultivate global citizenship through the French Civic and Moral Education programs and meaningful school experiences.

Students learn:

  • empathy and cooperation,
  • responsibility and autonomy,
  • environmental awareness,
  • digital citizenship,
  • leadership and service.

Through projects, debates, events, and cross-cultural discussions, students engage with real-world issues and develop a strong ethical foundation.

Student Leadership and Engagement

Students are encouraged to develop leadership and civic engagement throughout their school years.

Opportunities include participation in Model United Nations conferences, the Duke of Edinburgh Award program, volunteering initiatives, mentoring, and peer tutoring. These experiences help students build confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of community.

Student media

Giving students a voice, and the tools to express it.

Media literacy and expression are essential 21st-century skills.
Our two flagship student media platforms offer authentic learning experiences:

    1. The LFT Times (student newspaper)

Students learn journalism, research, writing, interviews, and editorial teamwork.

They develop clarity of thought, precision of language, and confidence in sharing their ideas.

      2. Webradio LFT (project to come)

      A space where students:

      • create podcasts,
      • host interviews,
      • explore storytelling,
      • develop speaking skills,
      • collaborate on audio projects.

These platforms encourage creativity, agency, and media literacy.
