CAIS – Canadian Accredited Independent Schools
The Lycée Français de Toronto is a Candidate School of CAIS, a national organization that promotes excellence and continuous improvement among independent schools in Canada.
CNED – Centre National d’Enseignement à Distance
The Lycée Français de Toronto partners with CNED, the official distance-learning institution of the French Ministry of Education, allowing students to pursue additional languages within the French national curriculum.
Language pathways include:
LVA (First foreign language): English
LVB (Second foreign language): Spanish or a language studied through CNED
LVC (Optional elective): an additional language studied through CNED
Through CNED, students may study languages such as German, Italian, Portuguese, Arabic, or Chinese.
DELE – Spanish Language Certification
Students studying Spanish may prepare for the DELE (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera), an internationally recognized certification validating Spanish proficiency.
