FAQs: Frequently Asked Questions for Le Cirque des Rêves
Q: Can children accompany their parents to the gala?
A: The gala is for guests aged 19 years and up. Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate children at this event.
Q: How can I pay for my tickets?
A: Please pay by cheque made out to Lycée Français de Toronto. You can also pay by Visa or Mastercard at the Marché de Noël on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Fundraising and Gala Committee Table.
Q: I have dietary restrictions. Who do I tell?
A: Please add any dietary restrictions to the Ticket Purchase Form. If you have already submitted your Form, please email the restriction to firstname.lastname@example.org along with the name of the Guest who has the restriction AND the name of the person who purchased the tickets.
Q: I work for a company that might be able to provide a silent auction prize or purchase an ad. What should I do?
A: That’s so exciting and congratulations on securing additional support for the school! Please email email@example.com and we will take you through the process. It’s very simple and will include you listening to the Gala Committee shouting with joy!
Q: I haven’t received my ticket to the gala yet and my payment was processed. Will I get a paper or electronic ticket?
A: No paper or electronic tickets are issued, but we do email a purchase confirmation along with the guest names that you have provided. Guest names are managed electronically and will be verified at the event. If you have not received a confirmation of your purchase by email please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: Can I be seated with a friend?
A: Let the Gala Committee know in advance with whom you would like to be seated and they will do their best to make it happen. There is a section on the Ticket Purchase Form for this purpose.
Q: What happens if I can no longer attend the Gala after my ticket is purchased?
A: Typically tickets are not refundable, however, you are free to resell the ticket. Please email email@example.com about the resale indicating the name of the guest and their email as soon as possible so we can amend our guest list. If you have any questions at all please email us and we will be happy to advise.
Q: What do I do if a guest at my table of 10 can no longer attend?
A: You are free to invite a replacement. Please advise the Gala Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org of the new guest name as soon as possible.
Q: Will I get a tax receipt for my purchase at the silent auction?
A: Tax receipts will only be provided for an item should the purchase price exceed the Fair Market Value price by more than 25%. In this case the Fair Market Value must be re-confirmed by the donor. The tax receipt would be for the amount in excess of the Fair Market Value.
Q: Can I use my credit card to pay for my Silent Auction win?
A: We will have the ability to accept payment by credit card, however, the fastest and most efficient way to pay would be by cheque made out to Lycée Français de Toronto. This also means that the LFT avoids any credit card service charges, meaning we can retain all funds for the school! That’s a win-win for everyone!
Q: I have added a donation to my Ticket Purchase Form. Will the donation go to the Critical Building and Capital Fund or into a general fund?
A: Any donations received via the Gala Ticket Purchase Forms will automatically be assigned to the Critical Building and Capital Fund.
